The current owners George & Lynne acquired number Seven Guest House in August 2005.  It was given a Four Diamond E.T.B. rating in June 2000 and has been rated the same every year since. It has accommodation comprising of six double rooms and two singles.

The house was built in 1847 and historically is referred to in various publications as the house that was occupied by Count Dracula’s lawyer in the book written by Bram Stoker in 1897.

The guest house has also been mentioned in Holiday Which as ‘a simple but smart guest house’ regarding good places to stay in Whitby .

Number Seven is centrally situated in possibly one of the best positions on Whitby’s West Cliff having superb sea and abbey views and being only minutes away from the whalebone arch; the beaches; the old town via the swing bridge and all shopping facilities in Flowergate, Baxtergate and Skinner Street – not forgetting The Magpie Café on Pier Road.

We are open all year round and are non-smoking.

Guests are requested to vacate their rooms by 10:15 a.m. on the day of departure although luggage may be left with the owners until later.

We regret that we cannot accommodate pets.
